Winnie the Pooh
A familiar furry face, Winnie the Pooh is one of the most adorable teddy bears you will ever get to meet. Despite being a bear of very little brain as he describes himself, Pooh won over little boys and girls with his big heart, childlike innocence and pure silliness.
For more than 90 years now, Pooh and his friends have entertained children from all corners of the globe. Over 50 million copies of Winnie the Pooh books have been sold. Translated in various languages—Afrikaans, Finnish and Latin, to name a few—they continue to enchant generations upon generations of young readers with heartwarming tales and delightful illustrations.
Created by English author A. A. Milne, Pooh was based on an actual teddy bear owned by his son, Christopher Robin, who is also the namesake and basis for the little boy in the book series. The rest of his son’s toys, Piglet, Eeyore, Kanga, Roo and Tigger, were also incorporated into his stories while Owl and Rabbit were crafted by pure imagination.
